Esporta Health & Racquets Club chooses ZigZag dance mats
Young members at premium health and leisure club Esporta Health & Racquets Club Lichfield will be dancing their way to fitness using state-of-the-art dance mats from ZigZag. The eight-mat system will feature in the club’s newly refurbished family area and includes wireless tracking cards, which allow dancers to compare their scores online with “dance mates”.
Esporta Health Clubs, Family Activities Director, Chris Sharman said: “We chose ZigZag due the excellent level of service that the company provides and the uniqueness of its product. These dance mats are something new and very different – they integrate fitness, fun and technology. Investing in the right technology is important as it ensures that the range of family activities at our Lichfield club remains exciting.”
The dance mat programme will run after school and at weekends during term time, and as part of the club’s holiday activities. The installation is part of a wider investment into children’s activities at Esporta Health & Racquets Club Lichfield, which launched two new children’s memberships last month: Esporta Kids for 0 to 7 year olds and Esporta Extreme for 8 to 15 year olds. Esporta Kids features 30 hours per week of free crèche and activity sessions, such as Dance Mat Mania, Street Dance, Master Chef and Console Mania. While Esporta Extreme includes 29 hours of activities each week, including Dance Mat Extreme, Extreme Boxercise, Extreme Chef and Street dance. Both memberships give unlimited access to the classes, as well as reduced rates for parties, holiday camps and activity-based courses, such as swimming, tennis and football. If successful the children’s activities model will be rolled out to other Esporta clubs
